MUSA Green recently conducted a comprehensive water assessment in 3 ASTRA Business Units located in Sumatra and Kalimantan. This initiative is part of ASTRA’s ongoing commitment in Water Management Program. The field monitoring activities were focused on optimizing water usage and ensuring sustainable practices across different industrial sectors within the ASTRA Group.
1. PT Sari Aditya Loka – Palm Plantation Sector
PT Sari Aditya Loka, a subsidiary of PT Astra Agro Lestari Tbk, is among the largest palm oil plantation companies in Indonesia. As part of the Water Management Project, MUSA Green conducted field monitoring at the Jambi site. The primary objective was to perform a thorough water assessment and gather data on water usage within the plantation areas.
This data is crucial for providing insights into more efficient water management practices, thereby supporting both environmental sustainability and the operational efficiency of the company. The initiative aims to reduce water wastage and improve irrigation techniques, contributing to the long-term viability of the plantation ecosystem.
2. PT Energia Prima Nusantara – Renewable Energy Sector
PT Energia Prima Nusantara, a subsidiary focused on renewable energy power generation, operates the PAMA-1 power plant in Central Kalimantan. This plant is a part of the ASTRA Group’s diversified portfolio, which includes both renewable and conventional energy sectors.
MUSA Green’s field monitoring at the PLTU PAMA-1 facility aimed to evaluate the efficiency of water usage in the power generation process. By collecting and analyzing data on water consumption, MUSA Green seeks to optimize water usage, thus reducing the environmental footprint of the facility. 3. PT Tuah Turangga Agung – Coal Mining Sector
PT Tuah Turangga Agung, part of the PT Asmin Bara Bronang group located in Central Kalimantan, is a key player in the coal mining industry. The field monitoring at this site was particularly focused on assessing water usage in mining operations and related support processes.
Through systematic data collection, MUSA Green aims to develop strategic recommendations for water efficiency.
